Walk through one of our contemporary-transitional first-floor renovations, featuring a stunning new kitchen and living space. You'll have the opportunity to speak to our design + build team, as well as the homeowner's, Yin & Wes.

PROJECT SCOPE

Yin and Wes had some design ideas in mind, but they were having a hard time envisioning what they could do with their space. Originally burdened by a massive wall obstructing sunlight, the residence felt dark and uninviting. The kitchen, a central hub especially dear to Yin's mother, a cooking enthusiast, was notably dated. It lacked proper ventilation, making culinary endeavors a challenge, and its confined design was not in harmony with the rest of the house. The couple sought a contemporary upgrade, emphasizing an open floor plan to seamlessly blend spaces and maximize natural light. In addressing the poor space utilization, we faced a unique challenge. In order to open up the space we had to install an almost 40’ long beam in an existing load-bearing masonry wall. With careful planning and design, the end result was a cohesive, luminous, and modern space that both Yin and Wes are proud to call home.

SCHEDULE
The home tour begins at 12 pm. Once you arrive, you will be greeted by your Freedom Design + Build, Inc. concierge, who will guide you through the project.
